About Me
Hi, I'm Emily. I'm a passionate 2D/3D artist and aspiring graphic designer from Germany. I'm well-versed in a variety of creative applications, with years of experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, Substance Painter, and Blender. Thank you for checking out my portfolio!
bunny in forest project
I made this scene because I wanted to take a school assignment beyond the scope of the assignment to make something visually more interesting than just a blank untextured model of an animal. This includes rigging, texturing, fur grooming, shading, and building a scene around it. The foliage assets and tree stump were taken from the Quixel Megascans Library to give the scene more detail. Overall I learned a lot about hair systems and hair grooming through this project.
Realistic Chess Set
This chess set was made as part of a school project. The task was to model a set of chess pieces based on a series of side-profile reference drawings. Once I was satisfied with the models, I applied textures and materials to the surfaces, positioned the chess pieces and placed area lights to give the scene a soft lightsource.
Realistic wii remote
A self-imposed modeling challenge to create a realistic Nintendo Wii Remote with the aid of various references. The texture for the buttons was created in Illustrator. This model was created in 2 days.
Winchester Model 1886
As another self-imposed modelling challenge I decided to make this weapon, which is a Winchester Model 1886 rifle. This model was made using Blender, with texturing being done using Substance Painter. By the rifleās nature of having flat and rounded intersecting shapes, it deemed the process difficult because of the complexity. Resulting in the knowledge of different approaches and work-arounds to create such shapes.
My Logo
This is my logo, used to represent myself as a graphic designer. I chose a simplistic deer because I personally like the animal. The rounded design is deliberate in order to appear more approachable and friendly. I based the logo off of an earlier drawing and vectorized it in Illustrator.
Sleek Stream Overlay
This is a so called "streaming overlay", which is essentially
an overlay for live-streamers on platforms like twitch to give
their streams their personal touch while also giving the viewers
something pleasing to look at.
In our briefing with my client I determined the goals as the
following:
Create a monochrome minimalist yet also modern design to give off
a professional look, with animated elements. In total 5 seperate
screens, an animated looping background, and scene transitions were
created for the client. The triangle pattern was inspired by a building
in my city.
Poster Recreation
Here is a poster I found online. As you can see, the original resolution is noticably pixelated and compressed. I decided to recreate it using Blender in order to turn it into a clean high resolution version. Here are the results, comparing the original on the left to my version on the right:
